So …. I am back from Holiday down the coast of NSW. On my trip I visited a scrapbook shop call Amanda’s of Mogo. And I saw this beautiful Wood Florishes. Spotlight have them too and they are very cheap. ;) Around $3.00 each. Cool right ??? And they are perfect for making moulds and embossing. Fantastic!!!!!!
Don’t forget you can use leftover fondant for make your moulds. ;)

So … I know how hard and expensive can be to make or buy moulds. So…. I make my own with leftover of fondant and tylose. It doesn’t last long but if you have a plastic original you can always make it again and again…. ;)You may ask me how much tylose…well that will depend how quick you will need your mould. ;)I have a online video now thanks to Learn Cake Decorating online ;)http://www.learncakedecoratingonline.com/#oid=5_1

Here’s my video tutorial for making a sleeping baby in a Santa outfit. It can be made in sugarpaste/ modelling paste/ modelling chocolate/ marzipan. The sizes of the body parts relate to the size of the head, so it could be made small enough for cupcakes or larger for bigger cakes by simply adjusting the sizes of the head/ head mould. Building figurines with a wireframe skeleton allows for more dynamic poses and positioning.
I like to use a thick, flexible aluminium wire which is easily available in craft stores. First, bend the wire into a basic proportioned shape, winding the wire round itself to add strength. Allow a long end of wire at the base to stick the wireframe into a piece of foam.
