Two polystyrene balls, one slightly bigger than the other
A cocktail stick
A plastic cake dowel
Small embroidery scissors (brand new and sterilised)
Large kitchen knife
Grey and white fondant
Small paint brush and water
I decided to make the dog out of polystyrene so he could be kept instead of eaten and I t...

This tutoriial is based in part on Fran’s Rose tutorial : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYkPhb-_gDgbut includes wired petals.
Take a 20 gauge wire and a small styrofoam egg. The egg should be no bigger than the petal size of a 100mm Jem “Easy Rose” cutter. Use a hot glue gun to attach some glue to the wire and then push the wire up into the base of the egg.
Then choose a large petal shaped cutter- cutter is big enough if the egg fits within it when the c...

I have had a few personal messages on my facebook account on how I lined my cake pans for the carrot cake, I thought this is how everyone did it, but here goes for those who would like to know :-)I never bake a cake without lining the pan as I don’t like a crusty dry edge to my cakes

We are not sure if anyone will need this tutorial, but we know we would have loved to have had one. After several disasterous cannoli filling attempts, we finally figured out the perfect blend. If we can help just one person avoid wasting a lot of expensive cheese, it will be worth doing this tutorial! This recipe makes enough for 36 mini cannoli’s filled very generously.
Here is the recipe ingredients:
2 1/4 cups confectionary sugar6 tablespoons of cornstarch1 tablespoon of v...

Roll out your fondant until very thin, about the same as you would do if making a flower
This is how thin I rolled mine out. If its too think it will be hard to frill the edges
Use the cutter to c...
