This tutorial will show you how I go about ganaching all my cakes…..this is how I do it…there are plenty of other ways that work as well as other tutorials showing a similar method…I make no claim to inventing this technique, and am just showing you how I get the cakes I make to look like this!!!

A number of people have asked me exactly how I make the ribbon roses on my bouquet cake so here’s a quick tutorial.
The Equipment I use a small cutting board, a rolling pin and a scalpel.
How to make the rose1. Roll a small piece of fondant into a sausage shape.
2. Roll the sausage flat with your rolling pin but don’t flatten it too much. You want it to be thick enough that you get a soft curved edge.

Ingredients:
1 – 16oz bag mini marshmallows
1 – 2lb bag powdered sugar (sifted – I usually use about 3/4 to 2/3 of the bag)
2 to 3TBS water
shortening
gel paste food coloring (if colored needed)
1 to 2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

This is a record-short tutorial, but I thought I’d share it with you. Drying out gumpaste tiaras can be tricky since you want a concave shape. So, I found a very easy way. Here’s how:
Materials: drying rack; styrofoam glass

1.Here is a picture with all the materials needed.
2. Roll out your pink fondant on a non stick surface.
3. Cut out a large fluted round with a fluted round cutter.
4. Now cut out atleast 1/3 of the round leaving a fan shape.
5. Now indent the fan with a smaller plain edge round cutter.
6. Now using a knife or craft knife, indent lines with equal gaps like show in the picture.
