Cake Ball Help

Hi All!

I recently received an order for 2 dozen cake balls for a bridal shower. The Bride’s colors are eggplant purple and a lime green. I know it is extremelly difficult to color chocolate to the eggplant color so I was considering using royal icing to decorate them. Have any of you had any success using royal icing on chocolate? I assumed it would work fine but just wanted to see if any of you have done it.

I’ve secured decorations on cake pops with royal icing and it’s worked fine. You may want to cover the cake balls with a lime green candy coating and pipe a flower on top using tinted royal icing. I would try a couple first just to be sure.
