Appropriate sizes

Another question for you more experienced wedding cake makers. I will be making a four tiered wedding cake for my SIL’s wedding cake in June, the reception is a fairly light lunch with the cake as the only sweet. I was thinking that 15, 12, 9, 6" rounds would be plenty for the 135 guests that she has invited. Any one think that this is not enough or that a cake this big would look awkward? I generally have only done 12" cakes on bottom with 3 tiers so I just want to make sure that this won’t look odd once I get it all together.
Thank you!

Well as far as serving people this cake would feed 190 people… here is a chart that I always use to help figure out what cake will serve…. put this in your arsenal :)

That’s a very handy chart, Jennifer – thanks :)

that is a fabulous chart! so much easier to use than many of the other charts I have seen lately. I adjusted the cake slice to the “party” size slice and it lists 127 slices so I feel like it is a safe bet even if the cake cutters get a slightly heavy hand serving. Anyone have experience with how this combo looks?
