Topic tags/keywords: advice question

I have started a cake business in my Town and I’m struggling to price my cakes so I still make something out of it. As the modeling of figures take a lot of time I can find a effective way in charging for them.

I have tried the Ingredients x 2/3 but doesn’t always work that great.

Please if someone has a better way to keep the costing constant. PLEASE help!

Hi!
I use Cakeboss, which is a software, which is build for cake decorators. Once you entered all of your ingredient prices and recipes, you will know how much the ingredients cost you and then you set yourself an hourly rate and jut enter how long it would take you to do a cake. It also doubles up as your customer database, tracking outstanding payments etc.
You find more info under www.cakeboss.com

The other one is and iPhone App I have called “CakeUlator”, which I use when I am on the run.

I hope this helps and good luck with it all.
