Topic tags/keywords: how-to advice idea birthday

Hi all!
I will be making a book cake for my daughters future mother in law’s 50th
Birthday next week. Any fabulous ideas on how to create a leather look on fondant?

Thanks in advance Nan

I think there is a tutorial posted here already… I think just using plastic cling wrap to give the texture. If you search in the tutorials section you should be able to find it :)

If you scrunch up some baking paper, then unfold it again, roll it over your already rolled out fondant, it should give an antiqued leather look.
