I dont know if this has been discussed before..But could someone tell me how to cover a board with fondant…
And also I have seen ribbons tied in the corner of the board..How do we make these ribbons to stay? tried to tie it real tight but that dint work…Can someone please help me out with this…thankss:)

Hi Niha, when I cover a board with fondant, I put a thin layer of shortening onto the board to help the fondant stick and just lay the fondant on and then trim it with a pizza cutter or knife. I then wrap a ribbon around the edge of the board by securing it with tiny dots of hot glue usually every 2 or 3 inches. Hope I explained this OK, and it helps you.

I agree with Toni, a thin layer of shortening on the board works great for me too. I use a glue stick and run it around the edge of the board to adhere the ribbon but I’ve used a hot glue gun too.

I dampen the board with a little water instead of shortening. Works a treat. As for the ribbon, double sided tape is great, x.
