Topic tags/keywords: advice question tip how-to trick idea tutorial cake

How do you all adhere your cakes to your boards???? Everytime I travel with a cake it shifts off the board and if my board is decorated it will mess up the design.

I use a glob of royal icing ~ works like a charm, I’ve never had one shift. Hope that helps!

I use buttercream or piping gel. I also double layer so if I have a 6 inch cake on a 6 inch board, I also have an 8 inch board underneath (plain) with some cupboard or drawer liner, the kind that doesnt move, between the boards so nothing shifts.
