Topic tags/keywords: silver leaf fondant mono block letters advice

Does anyone have any secret method for applying silver leaf to fondant? I am trying to coat 4 monoblock large letters for a wedding cake and they look rather tatty at the moment so any advice would be gladly received x

What I did was brush the fondant with vodka (not wet, just so it has something to adhere to). Carefully lay the silver leaf over it (try and minimize wrinkles) and use a very soft brush to smooth it.
