How much to charge for gelatin flowers, butterflies, dragonflies, etc.

I have made gelatin butterflies in the past for a wedding cake and they turned out really well. I just included some money in the price. But I just got an order for some gelatin dragonflies and butterflies for a bakery to use on different cakes. I have NO idea what to charge for them individually. Does anyone on here do gelatin work? How do you charge for them? I would appreciate input, as I’ve resorted to telling her I’d take some bakery goodies in trade. I don’t want to do that too often though! (We don’t eat a lot of sweets, but I must admit it’s nice eating someone else’s work :)) But this may be more than a one time thing, so I’d like to have a price range for the different pieces (adaptable to local prices of course).

The ones I make, I outline in very fine food writer and use either markers or diluted food coloring to finish, then I usually sprinkle with petal dust/disco dust

Thanks for any advice!

Just wondering what you ended up charging? I might be doing some for someone else to use too and I’m not sure what to charge either. They don’t cost a lot, but they take a bit of time!!
Thanks

Gosh it’s been so long since I wrote that post, but I ended up charging not enough :) I bartered for them and charged $2 apiece plus some donuts to take home for dessert that night LOL…I never did find out what others were charging, so maybe I’ll resume that search and get back to you! What do YOU think is a fair price? I’m stumped on that one.

I think it would depend on how detailed your items are. Is there any where you could show us a picture of some of the items, maybe we could help out a little more then.
