I have made gelatin butterflies in the past for a wedding cake and they turned out really well. I just included some money in the price. But I just got an order for some gelatin dragonflies and butterflies for a bakery to use on different cakes. I have NO idea what to charge for them individually. Does anyone on here do gelatin work? How do you charge for them? I would appreciate input, as I’ve resorted to telling her I’d take some bakery goodies in trade. I don’t want to do that too often though! (We don’t eat a lot of sweets, but I must admit it’s nice eating someone else’s work :)) But this may be more than a one time thing, so I’d like to have a price range for the different pieces (adaptable to local prices of course). The ones I make, I outline in very fine food writer and use either markers or diluted food coloring to finish, then I usually sprinkle with petal dust/disco dust Thanks for any advice! |
