What would be a good cake size for two tier cake? I was thinking a 9 inch bottom and 6 inch top. What do you all think. Help needed. Thank you in advance.

That’s a nice proportion, but how many people are you feeding, and what type of event?

Completely depends on how many people you’d like to feed! But I usually do 6" and 8" rounds for most of my two tiers. A 9" would work wonderfully too!

I think a 3" difference in two tier cakes is nice.Just my preference

It all depends how many servings you need. My common 2 tier cake sizes are 8in and 6 in or 7 in and 5 in.

I think a 6/8 or a 6/9 would work great. Just depends on the amount of people you need to serve. 6/10 looks nice too but if you don’t need that many servings it’s a bit big.
