Natural Food Coloring

I am very new to cake decorating, and just do it as a hobby but am wanting to learn more. I want to only use natural food colorings, and was wondering if anyone else here only uses the natural stuff and if so what your favorite brand is.

So far I have experience with india tree and color garden. I was NOT impressed with color garden at ALL and India tree has some pretty distinct disadvantages.

I am about to try tru color (just their black) and color garden (just their blue). I saw wilkin also had a brand but I have not tried it yet.

Thoughts?

I solely use Trucolor and have used just about every color in their collection. I love them and will never go back to any other colors. There were a few colors at first that did not quite work well but I think they have most of those kinks worked out. Some of the darker colors like black and brown in the dust gel colors can get hard but you can break them up and they work just fine.

I have used the powder gels, powder shines, powder airbrush and juts resently tried the liquid shines, all work brilliantly. Also the company is fabulous to work with and have good instructions for you on their website on how to use them.

So for me you cannot go wrong with Trucolor. Good luck and if you need any help with them feel free to contact me thru personal message and I will gladly help!

I actually just got their black the other day and am SUPER impressed. It made absolutely no difference in taste in even mildly flavored royal icing. I am planning on slowly building up my collection of them.
