Rustic "Wood" wedding cake help?

I need to make a cake like this, what do you recommend to make it so that the lines in the “bark” are white and the rest are brown?

Cover in white fondant, make the bark lines then sponge lightly over with dusting powder mixed with clear alcohol or lemon juice x

I agree with Julie, you could also sponge or paint the white fondant first allow to dry then use a scribing tool to scrape the paint away, I’ve tried both ways and both worked really well. Whatever works best for you.
