Can I put my fondant deorated cake in the refrigerator

I need clarification please. I changed the designed of a birthday cake, instead of 2 tiers, it’s just one cake. I have to carry it to my job and store it in the refrigerator until the person collects it that day.

So, could the cake be stored in the refrigerator?

Hi,
I personally wouldn’t as the fridge can make the cake sweat becoming very sticky if it has fondant decorations on it. Simply store it in the cake box and it will be perfectly fine until collection. Good luck
