Milk chocolate ganache

Has anyone added 70% cocoa chocolate to white chocolate ganache to hopefully get more of a milk chocolate ganache. If so how did it work out regarding taste and consistency. I find white choc ganache a tad waxy but am covering some childrens cakes where the dark choc version would be too strong tasting.

I make milk chocolate ganache all the time by just using nestle’s milk chocolate chips and heavy cream. I still use a 2:1 ratio. Hope that helps and gives you some ideas.

I have never done that but I’m not a fan of dark chocolate so what I do is make a combination of dark & milk chocolate. I weigh the chocolate separately so that I know how much cream I need and then just mix it all together. I do this because although I LOVE milk chocolate and so does my family I find a little too sweet to cover a cake and the dark just a tad too strong.

Great idea Goreti……to combine dark and milk!
Gonna give that a go!
Ive never combined white and dark sorry, but, I’ll be watching to see if anyone has! :-)
I might do a little experimenting myself and let you know.
