Hot weather sweets

Does anyone have nice alternatives for hot weather treats instead of having a cake? A client is having a birthday party in a park in the middle of summer and I want to offer her something that won’t melt in the heat.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Melanie

What do you mean my friend? Ha ha you know i have had a crazy week I need more simple questions! ;)

Do you mean instead of a cake as in a whole cake or instead of cupcake treats etc.

I can’t really see there a problem with a cake in the park depending on the servings and detail.

When I do my kids cakes in the park I put them in an esky. (Chiller box) I either use 4:1 ganache or 100% shortening buttercream.

I also find cupcakes easier and less fuss to transport in one of those plastic carriers and I place ice packs (ice bricks) underneath it until happy birthday song time.

Anyway I clearly need sleep as I am starting to waffle but I hope that triggers some more discussion…
