Cake Decorating Business

Business Relocation?

This was longer earlier, and getting no responses. Let me rephrase:

Have any of you ever shelved your business temporarily to work for another bakery while you get the fine tuning and kinks out of your business model and to learn more?

Have any of you temporarily shelved your business and then brought it back (either in the same area or in another area) and how did that go for you?

For those that relocated your business to a completely different area (I’m talking from another country or another state), how did you go about moving your business in such a way?

Did any of you start as home bakers and eventually hire employees? For those that did, how did you make it over the weird hump of maybe not being able to afford them so much at the start but needing them in order to grow??

Thanks in advance for all of your wonderful advice.

Ok, I was a little more direct with the questions I need answers for. You can answer all of them or just the ones that directly apply. I’m looking for lots of advice. :D

I can’t answer any of your questions as I’m happy just being a solo baker and decorator, running my business from home and teach away from home in the village and other venues. But, please take a look at my friend’s website, The Business of Baking her name is Michelle Green and she talks about all aspects of the baking and caking business.. You can subscribe for free as well… Here’s the link, . http://thebizofbaking.com
Here is her Facebook page too to follow … :) https://www.facebook.com/bizbake

You must never limit your challenges, instead you must challenge your limits

Thank you! I actually do follow her already, she has tons of amazing advice. I will have to email her my questions and see if she has any answers or will answer them on her blog. I did sort of look through her posts, but didn’t see anything that popped out at me, but I will also look again. :D
