Hi all I have just recieved some isomalt to have a play with and wondered if anyone has any good tutorials or tips for working with it

Yes….DON’T use a glue gun if there long tubes of Isomalt, even if it’s specifically made for isomalt. They blow up. We just discussed this at our cake club meeting. Use a silicone measuring cup as opposed to glass. Again, some glass measuring cups have cracked or shattered in the microwave from the heat of the Isomalt.

yer just something new to play with going to do me research and then have a pop with it. love me crazy stuff but think we will avoid exploding tools bit hard core for me lol

I love isomalt!!! It is frustrating but also fun. I have just recently started playing with it as well. June’s advice it really good.

Thanks Jennifer. Also, I should add, wearing protective oven mitts, preferably silicone ones might be a good idea. Isomalt is extremely hot, and if your hands got splashed while pouring, you get severely burned.
