cookie icing

Hello everyone, was wondering if any one can help….
Can cookies be iced in all these complex yet beautiful designs using melted choc? Instead of royal icing?
Has anyone tried ever??
Please share ur thoughts and ideas

I thought about this because I can smell a faint whiff of egg from RI which puts me off it a bit (weird I know – not sure if lemon juice would help this)… The main issue I have is the chocolate would keep solidifying as you worked with it which would make piping a real pain (especially removing metal nozzles or squeezing it all out to reheat in the microwave). You could probably do a brush/ painting technique more easily… If you try I would love to see the result
