Am wondering what others do in terms of cake/tier heights. Am curious about a number of things….In general…
1. What height do you aim to make a finished cake?
2. What height is the baked cake, before filling and icing? (i.e. how much of the completed total height is filling and icing)
3. How many cakes do you usually bake to make up 1 cake/tier (do you bake one, then cut it and fill it, or bake a couple and put them together).
I know there are all sorts of exceptions (extra tall or shallow cakes), but I’m just thinking about a ‘standard’ cake here.
