Accupuncture needles - help?

Hi everyone, i want to make a cake for my chiropractor who gave me free treatment when I needed it badly (too much cake decorating – lol). I want to make Kung Fu Panda with all the accupuncture needles in him, but cant think of what to use for the needles. I dont want to use anything innedible. Does anyone have any ideas?

What about Isomalt?

hiya what about using spaghetti painted silver or if you have a clay gun with modelling or flower paste use the disc for hair and leave them to dry hard :)

Thanks Tynka, I thought about isomalt, but I find it really hard to pipe fine lines with it. I also thought it might be a little painful to eat.

Hi MJH, I like the idea of using the extruder gun and letting the pieces dry. I hope they will be hard enough to push into the fondant. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi everyone, just thought I would show you my cake. I ended up using spaghetti, painting it with silver and tipping the ends with red royal icing. So thanks for the suggestion. Here is my cake. Having trouble posting it…
