Hi Amber, dont know where youre from, but, here in uk I use sugarflair paprika/flesh colour paste, its great. You only need to add a tiny bit! You can get it on ebay.

sugar and art - perfect combination! sugarmagic22@gmail.com

I’m in Canada and use either Ameri colour or Wilton. I make my fondant very pale pink, then add a smidge of brown & beige. I just add tiny amounts, knead in until I get the perfect colour.

Thank u so much for the help I’m in the us

And I saw a tutorial and she used lots of different petal dust brown flesh color cocoa and pink and that would cost a lot of money for me to buy all those different petal dust I’m a beginner and haven’t made any money yet this will be my first official cake sale so I think I’m going to use the sugarflair flesh gel it seems the cheapest way to go

I’m a hobby baker Amber. I also cannot afford to buy a lot of colours and dusts around. I have always bought my lustre dust at Michael’s with a 50% coupon. I went in several times to use it. Bought 2 at one time. But if you stick just ivory/white lustre dust, you can use it in any colour of fondant. As for colour dust, you can also purchase at Michael’s with 50% , but they have very limited colors. A decorator friend suggested using coloured artists chalk. Non toxic and can be used on gumpaste flowers or on fondant cakes. It is expensive. I bought I think the box of 16 varied colours, $40 something dollars. Also used my 50% coupon to purchase this, so a little over $20. You use so little, you will have the box for a long time. To use them you then shave off the amount from a piece of your chalk, place in a small bowl, preferably glass or metal. I then use my metal ball tool and crunch it till it becomes a powder. If you don’t have a metal ball tool, the back of a kitchen knife will do. Warning….Your hands will get coloured too if you don’t wear gloves. Wa La….instant dusting powder. Hope this info helps. :o)

omg thank u so much that sound geniuse how do u make ur flowers sparkly do they sell some type of glitter or something

You mix lustre dust and either alcohol, like vodka, or lemon juice. Apply sparingly. Too much and your flower will wilt from the moisture. Once dry, you can re apply if you want more sparkle/shimmer….just a learning process…..have fun…
