MAKING an ice

Hi everyone and Happy Holidays!

I want to make an ice rink. Whats the best way to do it besides piping gel. I can never get piping gel smooth enough to look like ice.

Your could cast some isomalt that is either round or square and fairly thin and then place that on you cake. You can airbrush, paint or color isomalt. It is my new obsession. :)
