Want to make/buy a neon (UV) cake for my Daughter's 12th Birthday

Hello, my name is Lisa. My daughter is having her 12th Birthday Party in December 2013. The theme is UV (Ultra Violet!), and I thought it would be a nice surprise if I could get her a neon (UV) cake made!! AS I am not a cake baker/maker, wondered if you had any ideas and suggestions for this? Only have a couple of weeks left, so any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure where you’re located, I’m sure you can find a good baker in your area-hopefully we can guide you if we know your area.

Some tips if you decide to try yourself:

You can make the frosting ‘glow’ the link I sent was a jello method but I’ve seen it done with turmeric as well.
If you google ‘glowing’ cake/buttercream you’ll get some ideas. The second link was to a homemade stand I saw here on CD, I imagine it was covered with some paper (or even painted).

Depending on the design you want you could use some led lights or even glow sticks.
