This is the first wedding cake that I have made. The Bride and Groom got engaged in New York, and wanted the top 2 tiers to represent this. The apple was made using a 4” ball tin.

The middle tier is all about the Bride and her loves, Disney, dance, shoes, Bruno Mars, Stagecoach, One Tree Hill

The bottom tier is about the semi-pro golfer Groom’s loves: football, Ipswich town football club, Batman, Budweiser, One Tree Hill, QI with a cheeky bit of Take That thrown in for fun!

I downloaded a Disney font and used this throughout the cake

The cake had to travel 7 hours by car, so it was easier to make each a separate tier for the journey, and make sure none of the bits would come off before hand!

The recipient of this cake’s great, great, great, great, great (I think that’s right!) grandfather was on the first hot air balloon journey, so the theme is personal to the family. Each of the balloons is hand painted, and the balloon decorations are based on a tea tray.
