Im a fully qualified chef of 17 years and worked in various roles within the industry. I have always made family cakes for special occasions but after my second child was born i decided to give up my full time work and set up Ruth's Cake House in January 2012.
I have not looked back since, it has been hard at times juggling everything but it works well for us as a family. Im still relatively new to this as my catering roles didnt include any cake decorating on this scale, but i work hard and im not affraid to try anything new. Ive always wanted a little cake shop or tea room so who knows where this will lead to
