Hello Anubha. Most collaborations, which are open to the public, are announced here on CakesDecor in the forum. Many collaborations are by invitation, but the hosts generally welcome anyone who would like to participate. If you have seen a collaboration which you particularly like, contact the host and find out if there will be a repeat next year, as many are. If so, ask to be added to the group.

Also, if you have friends who have participated in collaborations, let them know that you would like to join and they can introduce you to the hosts.

I know there are three or four challenges coming up on Bakerswood, but they maybe filled. It does not hurt to ask. They do challenges regularly and are open to any member. If you do not already belong to Bakerswood, I would be happy to recommend you. It is a very active and supportive site and they are always looking for cake artists who enjoy interacting regularly.

I’ve sent a message to Maria, the host of the site, to see how you become a member and if you might still be able to join one or more of the challenges. They are a few months in the future, so I am hopeful.

Sandra, I would be interested in joining Bakerswood as well. Had not heard of them until now. Can they be contacted directly or does one need an introduction?

You can request to join, The Garden Baker, but it also helps to have someone recommend you, which I would be happy to do. Please give me your name so I can submit to the administrator.

Since you have been added to the group, Andbha, you can add him yourself. At the top of the page, right underneath the banner, there is a tab for adding new members. He will have to be approved by the administrators, but that’s all you have to do.

Maria added you to Bakerswood right after I requested you be added, even though I didn’t have your complete name. She found you on CakesDecor. I know it was you because she showed me the picture of you with your cake, just to be sure she had the right person.
