Yes, neither I didn’t get any notification on email, i need to check on CD. Only sometimes i get email. I dont know what it depends?And i also have email on hotmail…

I’m with hotmail too. I do get notifications but not for all that I am following.

YES, I am too!!! In the beginning, I was getting many digests in 24 hours, now barely one… And yes, I have to check the site and sometimes I miss a lot of beautiful cakes from people I am following…

Hi Agnieszka, Kath and Dina…. so not only me who have the same problem….i also don’t know how that could be happen…. and that’s true Dina…i also miss alot of beautiful cake from the people that i am following. I hope CD will fix it soon.

Owww ….Mila, so the problem not only in hotmail ….and Barbara…hope everything will be fix soon. I just got some notify but not all from the people that i’m following.

Yes I’m having the same problem. I didn’t receive notice my cake even made it to the top three. Usually I get a badge but I didn’t get that either.

I think you will find your badge on your own CakesDecor page, underneath your cake… if you click that gold band that says “daily top 3”, it opens up a box that gives you a link???
I prefer to check my CD page, which seems to be showing all my notifications… I share a gmail with my husband… he hated it when there were dozens of individual emails coming through. I like the “digest” idea.

I don’t always get my notifications either. I get some delivered to my email ….but when I log on to CD, inevitably, there are a few more on the site that I didn’t receive. Guess there’s still some bugs being worked out….

Same with me, very late notifications! I have to say with old version of CD I always got my notifications straight away on every single cake posted my people I was following.Now I am getting notifications for example five cakes, but when I go to CD, I’ve already got 15 cakes that I haven’t seen.

I don’t always get notifications, but I do pop on CD every day to see your beautiful cakes and sugar creations :)

Btw Susan, i just found how to get the badge..they will give the link that you must copy and paste and then you can get the badge.

Probably June…i hope so and they will fix that soon.
Yes Gulnaz, i like more the old version beacuse i never missed any of cake from the person that i’m following…more email is true…but at least i don’t miss any of it.

Just to clarify.. Notifications about new comments (on the discussions you’re following) and new posts (from members you’re following) now appear instantly on the website – you can see the bell icon with he number in the header if you have any.

To prevent spamming your mailboxes we decided to not send email with each and every notification. Instead, we’re sending email Digests four times per day where you get the latest 10 notifications since your last Digest.

So to keep in touch with everything if you’re following lots of members and posts, it’s ideal to visit the website frequently. And if you forget or don’t have time, your personalised Digest will gently remind you.

Another – separate – issue is the deliverability of emails. We’re constantly working on improving our deliver rates but some email providers like Hotmail can be really tricky to work with :)

One thing you can do on your side is to add our notifier email address (notifier at cakesdecor.com) to your email program/application contact list. Then the emails should have preferential treatment and should be always delivered.

Smart move to have us go on CD cause “it’s ideal to visit the website frequently” to check ..for bell icons etc….another reason to spend WAY too much time here…hee hee…… But seriously, for sure I would rather check the site regularly and not have spam delivered to my email. I concur with Hotmail….I had lots of problems, so I switched to Gmail long ago. Good tip about notifier….thanks……and thanks for answering our questions so quickly….. :o)

I am not very up to date with my e-mail account as sometimes I do not access is for days (if not weeks!!!!!), but I do sign in on Cakes Decor many times daily so I can always access my notifications as Martin said from the site!!! I find this more effective as previously I used to find tens and tens of e-mail of cakes that I had already seen.
