Good morning Michal, I do get notifications for most cakes but I do randomly not receive some. It maybe because I follow too many of these fabulous people, haha! :-)

Thanks for letting me know. We are working on a different type of notifications that should fix this.

I don’t get any notifications at all. I have even tried removing all the checks on the email options and then go back to add them again in the hope that it help. It didn’t.

I get them, but they come ages after the comment has been posted.

With the notification for new cakes I have the same problem as Kath, Michal, I have noticed that occasionally I don’t get some of them, but if there are too many comments on my cake , I don’t get the notifications for most of them and then just a few trickle down ages after

Hi Michal, I’ve checked my settings, they’re all activated, but not receiving any emails

Just checked again, and all notifications were checked, I cancelled, re-checked and saved changes. So I’ll wait to see if I get any notifications now x

Alright Ladies. I checked it in the system and found out following:

1. Karen Flude → the emails were not delivered because your email was in the bounce list. I’m not sure why, but I deleted it from there. You should get notifications from this time. (please let me know if you do)

2. Goreti → The same as Karen Flude above

3. Janette MacPherson Cake Craft → emails are being sent to your email and the status is “delivered”. The last one was delivered “December 15, 2013 – 05:38:58 PM”. Could you please check your spam folder?

Karla – I checked it in the system and it’s telling that you reported one of the notification emails as a spam – that’s why it stopped sending notifications to you.

I removed it and you should get notifications from now. Please let me know ;)

I have been receiving my emails just fine thanks Michal :) … sorry for all of those who are not and sorry this is causing you an admin nightmare Michal.. technology letting you down :(

Hey Mel – it is hard to send all the notification emails right at the time you get a comment. There are around 10, 000 notification emails sent every day, which has serious impact to the server.They can’t be sent at one time, that’s why there is a list of all notifications and they are sent continuously.

Since the new site launched (which looks lovely!), I’m not getting any emails when I get comments on my pictures.

Is this a new thing? Will I not get emails anymore? I got an email when it reached the top three though.

Hey Amanda,

If you have any notifications, you will see them on the top right(red square with number). After clicking on it, you’ll be redirected to Notifications Page, where you can see them all. Once you check them out, they will be removed from the Notification Page. If you didn’t check your notifications out already, every 6 hours, you will get notification email with all notifications grouped to one email. If your cake makes it to Daily Top 3 or is picked as an Editor’s Choice, you will get notification email right away.

Ah, Ok! Thanks – but I still didn’t get any emails overnight even though there were new comments on my latest picture. I did notice the notification icon.

Everything new takes a bit of getting used to – we’ll all get the hang eventually, x

Check this page for notifications settings: http://cakesdecor.com/my/email_notifications . If you have all notification settings checked, please take a look at your spam folder as well.
