I started decorating a couple years ago and am completely self taught. I read countless books and blogs about different ideas and You Tube has been a great reference for me on many occasions! I am also a stay at home mom and don’t have a whole lot of time for classes in the classroom. I know there is still so much to learn but it is definitely possible! My advice would be to just start baking and working with the basics for now- no need to buy much except maybe a few decorating tips. Wilton’s website has some step by step instructions for some of the basics without having to purchase a class. Good luck and happy caking!
