As for getting good pics on site, think about bringing some fabric and have someone hold it up as a backdrop. If your camera has a flash, look at some diffusers so the light won’t be so harsh. Check around your town to see if there is a photography club. We have one here in our town. They offer a hands on class once a month. The membership dues are $35 a year, but it is SO worth it! My pictures have gotten so much better since I joined.
