re: Anyone still working in the corporate world??

Hi, I’m new on this site. I’m probably somewhat older and had worked as a billing supervisor in the mental health field for 15 years. The facility had gotten a new administrator a year and a half ago and she laid off all of the employees who had been there 5 plus years. I’ve tried a couple of other jobs, but my passion has always been cooking. I found out that making meals at home wasn’t an option, but baking was. A Dr. and a couple of other friends encouraged me to try cupcakes. From word of mouth, I have been getting orders along with furnishing a great coffee shop at the hospital. I live in an area where classes aren’t an option so have been self teaching with the internet and the wonderful blogs. We live in a very small home and I too have considered a small store front. I would welcome any leads for financing, advice, etc. It’s difficult to do large orders in my home, but have done fairly well with what I have to work with. I’ve done my first wedding last week, have another booked and 2 consultations this upcoming week. Have done very good with special occasion orders and would like to expand, but have that “fear factor” going on. Thank you all for reading my rambling and any advice you can offer.
