This cake was designed together with the groom´s sister, that was an unusual consultation!
One tier of the cake had to be vegetarian with no eggs, to my surprise the taste wasn’t so bad ;-)
She was extremely specific on the flowers she wanted and on the inclusion of peach and light green ribbons. I love peonies, so was delighted to get to create as many!
All the peonies are hand made in flower paste, the roses under the cake are real.

This was my second attempt at life-size shoe. I copied it from my daughter´s size 36 platform shoe and will soon write a tutorial and post templates.
To achieve the texture effect I hand shaped the spikes in sugarpaste and made the dots with royal icing.

It doesn´t really show on the picture but this cake was huge: 7 double tier (equal to 14), 1.10 meteres high, 50kg

Except for the board it´s all cake or sugar.
This was my second attempt at this cake and it turned even better than the first. The logo was redesigned by me then printed on a sugar sheet.
