This was my daughters birthday cake this year. Rio being her favorite film at the minute had to be the theme for her birthday party and cake. She was very happy with it! ... and so was i :)

Shades of blue ruffle cake with gold details and a zebra print sponge with strawberry jam and buttercream! This was my first go at ruffles and I loved them they looked gorgeous! I did intend to take a photo of the inside when it was cut to reveal the ‘zebra print’ but the cake was for my nan and she made a huge mess of cutting the slices for everyone! ....
