Hello Kitty birthday cake. Triple chocolate filled with strawberries, covered in white choco ganache, then fondant. All detail fondant.

This was my first attempt at legos, or any really sharp design. I think next time I would like to try it with ganache and a sturdier cake recipe, like a pound cake. I used a triple chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. It was for my 2yo nephew though, so no complaints from him :) Any tips appreciated, tfl :)

10” bottom 8” top. Dog house is graham crackers held together with RI and covered in mmf, everything else is fondant except grass, which is buttercream. I made a smash cake for the birthday boy in the shape of a dog bone, but I forgot to take a picture of it.

Wilton Buzz pan…Looks simple enough. HA. HA! This took forever. I had to mix umpteen different colors, outline all the lines in black first…Not my favorite cake, but my friend was happy and it was for her little boy, so in the end it was worth it.

CK Motorcycle Pantastic Pan. I was very leery of baking a cake in a plastic pan, but not as leery as spending $$$$ on the retired Wilton pan. It’s pretty sturdy, detail came out nice, and it cooked evenly. Can’t ask for more than that!

triple layer 6” coconut cake with chocolate mousse filling. Covered in buttercream. This one was just for me and the Hubs, so I practiced some piping and made three little fondant roses to go on top, and a little pink ribbon around the bottom.

How about next time I take the picture before I get it secured in the box? Duh lol Anyway, all is mmf, except the “K” which is a…metal of some kind…thing I found at Hobby Lobby. I had a fondant “K” but it broke the morning of delivery, so I had to run out and get something.

Wilton ball pan…For nose and eyebrow ridge, I stuck strips of fondant on the cake first, then covered with mmf and added the eyes and nostrils. Tie is made from mmf (chocolate) also.

3 layers of I believe 8×14 carved into an “L” shape, then the bottom layer was replaced for the porch. All covered in mmf, the porch supports are cookie sticks. The roof is foam core covered in mmf. The dog is kinda big because I made him first. Lesson learned ;)

Sheet cake iced in buttercream, fencing is fondant. Tractor body is rkt covered in mmf…Back wheels are regular sized donuts covered in fondant, front wheels are smaller donuts covered in fondant. Fondant chickens :)

Double layer 8” iced in buttercream, fondant letters and dots, also fondant minions. The cupcakes are iced in buttercream, then I made a fondant disc (face) to go on top. The big minion face is his smash cake. Love minions :)
