New CakesDecor Features #3: Following a member and Tracking Discussion

After receiving lot of messages and questions about the Follow buttons on our website, we decided to to tidy up this mess a little bit. As a result, we’re bringing you new “Following a Member” and “Tracking Discussion” functionality. And what it’s all about?

Following a Member

We added Followers counter and Follow/Unfollow link to the “Author Card”. So you can follow member easily, clicking on the “Follow” link on the Cake Details page. Following a member means that you’ll be notified anytime the member posts new Cake, Tutorial, Recipe or Blog entry.

We also added Followers counter and Follow/Unfollow button to the member’s home.

Tracking Discussion

We added new “Start tracking discussion” and “Stop tracking discussion” button below the comments counter on the Cake, Tutorial, Recipe, Blog entry and Forum topic details page. Tracking discussion means that you’ll be notified anytime someone posts a comment in the current discussion. You can use this if you see some interesting thread or you post a comment in the thread and you don’t want to miss any comments.

Note: You are automatically notified if someone posts comment on your Cake, Tutorial, Recipe, Blog entry and Forum topic and you don’t need to push the “Start tracking discussion” button.
