Boy version of a cake I had previously made. I only had 2 days notice, this was for a baby shower for a co- worker and his wife- and Jaxson of course :).

I had no idea who One Direction even was—to the horror of my niece- ha!! I had to look them up and used inspiration from cakes on the Internet—I wish I had noticed I had made them with rather large necks- ha

I tried to jam as much on this cake as I could – ha!!! I ran out of time so these are pics someone else took at the party—I also should have made the time to clean that board up!!! Ugh!!! Time management- not my strong point- ha i had fun making it though—

This cake was made for a Science Teacher that the students think is out of this world- how great is that? He is a fan if all that s UFO and space. The dome is made from a 7-11 slurpee top- wish I could say I was that resourceful but I had seen this idea posted online somewhere a long time ago. Looking at it now- I could have definitely jazzed it up with more light- bling- ad chrome! I hope he and the students enjoyed-

LG (Little Girl) had a very Hello Kitty birthday party- she is such a girlie- girl. Thank you to Lesley from Royal Bakery for posting a Hello Kitty tutorial a few days before I needed to make this cake!! Timing is e everything – ha!

Well, James knew exactly what he wanted- Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong – on a chocolate frosted ,rectangular cake- with his name on the side- gotta love 5 year olds. I did the best I could-Gum paste and fondant figures

There are quite a few versions of this cake- I don’t know who the original designer is- but what a fun cake to make. This was the only picture I got of it- wish I had thought to take more in better lighting-

40th birthday cake made for a friend who loves the beach- makes lists bd is always on her cell—beach bag is real-sized- the hat was not to scale- chocolate shells- champagne bottle is not part of the cake- but was equally enjoyed- ha. This is a cake made in the beginning if my caking ventures- it was big – really big. I was really proud of how it turned out- and my friend was surprised and thrilled

Back to school cuppies for my nephew- they were a big hit! I had fun making them

This was originally created by Cakes by Dusty- she was kind enough to encourage me to give it a shot- it was exactly what my nephew asked for- Dusty’s cake is perfection- I did my best ( wish I had not messed up the ladder on the truck- ugh)

Cake made for my niece’s 14th birthday- Phantom is her favorite Broadway play. It is an 8 inch red-velvet with vanilla buttercream- black fondant and red fondant rose (added tylose)- I used a mardi gras mask covered with plastic to mold the Phantom’s mask- I realized too late that I should have cut the mouth/lips out- I still like the way it turned out though

These cupcakes were made to go along with the 4th of Juky cake I posted. I kept the cake rustic- and loaded up the cupcakes- the kids loved them!!

Ipod cake made for my niece. My sister told me she needed it three days before the party-ugh!! I see my mistakes, I need to budget my time more carefully to make sure I don’t have to rush at the end (writing, edges- ect). TFL

White Xbox- Chocolate cake with Peanut Butter Buttercream. This was made for a son’s friend- he requested the white version because he doesn’t like the taste of the black fondant. I struggled with the remote so I left it off, my son just told me I should have added it, that it looks real- ugh!!! TFL.

I made this cake for a friends 40th birthday- his favorite things- The Simpsons and The JETS—I knew I couldn’t get the exact likeness of everything so I decided to make it very cartoonish- couch, tv and floor are cake – Homer, beer cans rug telephone and table or fondant- Weird thing is—- I was out with the Executive Producer of The Simpsons in NYC the night before this cake was due- she got a kick out of it!!!

I made these cupcakes to bring to my sister’s last chemo treatment, then again for a friend. We “celebrated” by handing them out to the staff, other patients and their supports. I was happy to make them- it was a symbol of one more step in the right direction. Much love and prayers for those fighting the good fight- {{ }}

This is a small 6 in round. It was a last minute decoration for my sister’s birthday. I had the flower on hand already made, I just added the pearls that were dusted with a gold luster dust. I should have used a different cake board.

I made this cake for a backyard Graduation Party after viewing the how-to video from My Cake School. The yellow cakes are 8 in, 8 inch dome with buttercream frosting and lightly toasted fries, the burger is a 9 in chocolate, with chocolate buttercream frosting. The condiments are modeling chocolate, the lettuce was greener in person, not sure why it has a blue hue in the picture. I made ice cream cone cupcakes to go with the burger and fries- they were a disaster by the time I got to the party, they kept tipping over- ugh!
