The client wanted a Maggie Austin Cake design with bas-relief roses and scroll work framing the square tiers. Lavender (Sterling) gum paste roses punctuated the center tier. Lavender and pearl luster was painted on the relief work for depth and luminescence.

5” over 8” fondant cake with gumpaste details: mortarboard, UA logo, pearls, and copper tipped roses. Copper painted top tier and bottom tier is done in brick imprint as a nod to the red brick that is prevalent on the University of Arizona campus. (Cake also had a rolled diploma on top, but it didn’t make it into the picture).

The luck of the birthday starts with a fancy cake (or so I’ve heard?) This Double Dark Chocolate Cake is filled with Whipped Chocolate Ganache Buttercream in three little tiers: 4”/6”/8” to serve 35. Finished in American buttercream with fondant accents and topper.

Gumpaste roses on a buttercream cake, quilted and pearled. I haven’t made botanical flowers in a while and had such a great time with these! Maybe its a bit of spring fever, but I am loving flowers right now!

A birthday cake playing to the musician, this 5” over 8” fondant cake is wrapped with snippets of the famous Happy Birthday music. Fondant with gold luster painting on the edges. Cake is a classic vanilla bean buttercream filled with raspberry jam and vanilla bean Swiss buttercream.

A RKT and fondant baseball mitt topper designed from photos of the birthday guy’s childhood glove (he was a first base lefty). It also has his faded phone number, just like on his real glove that he still takes to Mets games. It sat upon a 6” over 10” buttercream cake with fondant details. thank you for looking!

I was so excited to make a rainbow sprinkle cake for my son’s 5th birthday. I made this 8” round with a vegan cake recipe—absolutely no need to have a boring cake because the birthday boy has some food allergies! It was a hit with everyone!
