Hi, my name is Heather and I live in Central NY (no, not the city!) I guess I'm the cliche. I got laid off from the banking world, became a stay-at-home mom that suddenly found herself needing to do something (OTHER than change diapers). My mother used to decorate cakes, so I thought "why not?" and took my first Wilton class within the month of my layoff. That was roughly about 4 years ago, and I've been tinkering ever since, although that was my first and only cake class- and just about the only time I worked strictly with buttercream (we have a love/hate relationship- I love the taste, it hates to be perfectly smooth for me). So most of my work is in fondant.
