These cakes were for my neices 10th birthday. I made the cupcake minions for all her friends as she was having a birthday lunch at school.
The cake was just for family so I used 2 4” cakes. I decided to name him bert (think it quite suits him) lol
I really wanted to add more character to the cake so that’s why I decided to make a backdrop with the gru and the moon.
My niece loved them :)

Iv been wanting to make a Cath kidston style cake for a while now as I’m a huge fan of her designs.
I was discussing the cake design i was going for with my sister, when she mentioned the word ‘patchwork’ to me.
I loved the idea, although I didn’t want it to be like a patchwork blanket so i decided on using ‘fabric samples’ instead.
Using icing sheets may be easy but cutting the tiny little triangles?? Not so easy lol.
I used 6 different patterns in total and then used the same patterns for the bunting.
This is only my second time making roses, so still need lots more practice with those but I couldn’t be happier with the outcome :)

24 tiffany themed cupcakes.

I was asked to make some baby/midwife cupcakes as a thank you gift for a customer who had recently had a baby.
Iv never made decorations for mini cupcakes before so this was a first, and with 24 minis and 12 large cupcakes I struggled for ideas! After seeing so many large pregnant belly cakes I decided to make mini pregnant belly toppers.
The scan pictures were a last minute decision as I was struggling for ideas but really think it was the perfect choice!

First time using rkt and my airbrush :)

Something a bit different from your usual cake. Thought I’d try out a bouquet for Mother’s Day. The colours didnt turn out how I expected but was really happy with the result :)

I have been wanting to create a gruffalo cake for a long time now and this week I finally got the chance! :)
I really wanted to try to tell the gruffalo story capturing each scene.
This was a 10” cake and to make sure I had enough room for the scenes, I put it onto a 15” board!
I wanted it to look like the forest and thetrees were a new challenge for me, I kept worrying they were going to fall over, but luckily they stayed in place. :)
I really have learnt alot making this one, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it :)

This was a very important cake for me.
It was for my mums 50th and as iv only been caking since may, this was the first year iv made her a cake.
My mum is also a caker and the one who introduced me into caking and if it wasnt for her i wouldnt be making cakes now, so really wanted to make her proud.
I wanted to make it as personal as possible and try to make it to tell her story.
For the bottom tier i printed off 6 family photos and put them in individual frames.(unfortuantly icing sheets didnt like me that night so i had to use rice paper).lol
For the top tier i decided to use my mums family tartan and for the first time i used fresh flowers, thistles and roses. I would have liked to have used heather too but unfortunatly i couldnt get any at such short notice, so i had to go with something else (dont know the name of it) lol.
The end result was better than i could have imagined and my mum loved it! :)

So I’d seen a lot of xmas cakes with models on but I wanted to do something that would fit into a nice window box that people could buy that was affordable to buy as a little gift or stocking fillers
So I decided to do lots of different styles 4” cakes, snowman, Santa, penguin, etc.
the reaction to them has been fab. And the snowman is by far my favourite, he just makes me do really big smiles! :)

Thoroughly enjoyed making this! Was so much fun!
The customer had asked for a Halloween cake for her little boys birthday/halloween party. After chatting lots to her she told me shed brought him loads of cars as he was really into it.
So for a surprise I added a few ‘cars 2’ detail. lightening mcqueen, the road sign and The house. (which is from when they go to Italy)
Her and her little boy loved it, and she sent me a fantastic email. Doing that little bit extra to make it more personal really was worth it! :)

I really enjoyed making these.
When a customer asked for chihuahua toppers I automatically suggested a model or a printed picture of them, but the customer wanted a flat image. This was my second attempt at the dogs after my son told me my first ones looked like wolfs! Lol to try and make them look like the customers dogs I painted on the small details.
I Wasn’t to sure what colours to do the cupcakes so I decided to use the colours of the dogs as a base and adding the green. I got the idea of doing the double pearls from niks kakes tutorial!
The customer loved them! :)

With 3 days notice I was asked to do a cake for another lady who has a cake business. This was the end result. The lady loved it! :)

I was asked to do some birthday cupcakes for a 30th birthday, the brief was butterflies, flowers and balloons. I struggled to think how i could do balloons without them looking to childish, when I sat down to make them they all came together nicely and i decided to use the pearls to make it more sophisticated! Very happy with how they turned out! :)

So christmas isn’t to far away so thought I would have a play creating cakes and cupcakes for customers to see!
