Recipies #1: Modeling Paste

500grams white fondant/plastic icing
15ml Tylose
10ml egg white (run through a sieve – use just the watery part)
30grams Holsum fat (shortening)

Mix the tylose well into the fondant. Add the egg white and mix well.. Add the shortening and knead well.. Better left overnight and used the following day for figurines etc.. Can be colored with gel or powder colors.
DON’T STORE IN THE FRIDGE..

I usually use mine up in about a week or two..

A lovely textured paste to work with, although I prefer not to use it when I make flowers as it breaks easily around the edges when “balling”
