Ingredients

The Cake:

  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon of fine sea salt
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup of melted butter

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup of light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups of hot water
  • 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
  • For serving – Mint chocolate chip ice-cream

Directions

Preheat the oven to 1760C or 3500 F.

For the cake

Take a large bowl. Put flour, baking powder, sugar, salt in it and then whisk gently. After that, pour in the butter, vanilla & milk and mix them together gently with the help of a spatula or spoon. Stir the mixture until it has become smooth.

For the topping

Beat the cocoa and sugar together gently and then sprinkle on the top of the batter evenly. Now take the hot water and pour it over the mixture.

After that, place the batter inside the oven and bake for about 30 to 32 minutes. When the kuchen is ready, it will almost look like an undercooked chocolate brownie. Take the cake out of the oven and place it on a rack to cool.

Sprinkle mint chocolate chip ice cream over the pudding cake and serve it as a dessert.

So just follow the step by step procedure and start preparing your own custom cakes now.
