Little tutorial - leaf pattern on Perwinkles clothes (Disney figure)

Hello everyone,

In the production of aPeriwi nkle figure I tried to recreate the typical leaf pattern on the clothes. With this small series of pictures I would like to explain to you the process shortly.

I have it rolled many long and thin lines by hand and mounted on the bare thigh with sugar glue in the required position. Then I rolled out the fondant dyed, cut into shape and fixed on the thigh. With a blunt modeling tool I’ve worked out the leaf grain accordingly.

The feathers I have with fondant made itself. Unfortunately, I have not photographed this step, but try to describe him:
For you roll the fondant out very thin and modeled the quill carefully with tweezers. With a toothpick I have the spring structure on the fondant applied. The Fringed feather structure on the edge I have achieved I with a needle-like sculpting have frayed the edge, in very small intervals in the fondant stung. This fray this and can get in shape.

For the top I have means paper made a corresponding template and used as patterns.

Because the shell does not completely covers the body, one the leaf structure to the clothes has to apply itself with sugar glue here. This requires some skill and above all to work quickly, otherwise the mass will quickly dry and cracked. If these completely, turning around the two individual parts of the garment and the leaf structure is working with a blunt sculpting out. The rear part of the upper part is then attached to the first figure, since the front portion overlaps at the sides and forms the end.
Hope you enjoy it!

Kind regards
Jennifer
