i need your help!

Hi everyone so my nephews birthday party is Sunday Oct 12 but I’m in a wedding on Saturday the 11. He asked me to do his birthday cake well so where I need help would be when should I start the cake should I bake the cake Tuesday or Wednesday and decorate Thursday cause I have to be with the bride Friday and Saturday what is your opinion??

Rosie Cake-Diva once posted a timescale for how she does her wedding cakes on fb. She would bake that the weekend before, then cover and decorate over the coming days. She described how when she first started she would try to do everything last min to keep the cake fresh, not realising it will happily keep for a week. She mentioned madeira cake tastes better a few days after being baked too. You can probably scroll through her past posts to see exactly what she said, this is just from my memory. But I don’t think I’ve loved her just as much as when she posted that just before I had 2 huge orders to fill for the same weekend :) hope that helps x

This is really good information. I will check as well. A few days it’s not a problem. Make sure you fill the cake with something that doesn’t need fridge.
