Wedding Cake Awards - Thank you, everyone!

In a moment of thankfulness I wanted to express how much this achievement means to me. Last year, I left my comfortable, stable job to follow my passion of cake decorating. I went to cake school, learned from the pros and here I am, as green as a pea. Although I love my new career, in all honesty it terrifies me to not know what’s around the corner. Having spent almost half my life in the medical sciences, getting my degree and working in the field, cake design is the exact opposite and at times, in moments of weakness, I have doubted my decision. But this award changes my view, it takes that doubt away and keeps me motivated to continue, learn and grow. I am truly grateful for the support, kindness, and encouragement that exists within the cake community and especially here at CakesDecor. There is truly no other profession/hobby/art that is quite like this one and I’m happy to be part of it.
