This cake was for a couple celebrating their silver wedding anniversary. They were renewing their vows and wanted a ‘proper’ cake to celebrate the occasion.

They asked me to base the design on the dress which was plain white with a lace panel on the back and a cluster of sparkles just under the bust. I therefore used a Zoe Clark pattern on the top and bottom tier which I thought looked like the lace on the dress and incorporated the rose to give it a slightly less modern feel.

My customer had seen a completely different ladybird themed cake and asked for something similar so I came up with this. 6” marble sponge cake with gumpaste bow.

The monkeys on this design were based on an invitation that I found online.

This cake was made for a sports fan who plays badminton and is a Newcastle United supporter.

Shuttlecock, racket and shield are all made from gumpaste.

This was another display cake that I made for a wedding fayre.

This is a display cake for the wedding fair I am attending at the end of the month.

I have done a similar design in white and ivory lace which has been really popular so I thought I would try it in pink.

Every year, I make a traditional Christmas cake for my Mum who lives in France and I send it to her in the post. Usually it makes it in one piece so let’s hope this one does too :)

1st birthday cake based on a baby programme called Charlie & the Numbers.

This cake was made for a keen golfer who wears this particular cap.

This is a design I have done before but is really popular. I went with a slightly different colour scheme this time.

The original design for this cake came from The Pastry Studio but I changed it a fair bit as I went along.

6”, 8”, 10” & 12” with handmade sugar flowers.

This is based on a design by my friend Jo at Torta Couture. Jo made a single tier of this cake so I asked her permission to turn it into a three tier.

Tiers are 5”, 7” & 9”.

This cake was based on a design by Royal Bakery and I believe it originally came from Yummy Cupcakes so credit goes to them both.

The colours are based on the wedding flowers.

This cake was made for a shopping addict who loves the Jack Wills brand.

Inspiration for this cake came from the super talented Cotton & Crumbs. My roses are nowhere near as good as hers but fortunately I am taking a rose class with Tracy soon so then they might improve :)
