A real little Princess cake, complete with Tiara, slipper, wand and bling!

This must be about the 30th castle cake I’ve done and I try to do each one different, this is probably my favourite one yet!

This was made for my very own little superhero’s 7th birthday party yesterday. My son is my hero for many reasons, he amazes me and makes me laugh everyday and will one day be a superhero!! He loves Michael Jackson so I wanted to make a special cake for him to represent this. The little cupcakes had pictures of my son on that were taken by a MMA photographer at a photo shoot he was involved in, he is a blue belt in K1 and trains 5 days a week so this is a big part of his life and one of the reasons he is my hero. x
The picture on the bottom tier was handpainted, the middle tier was to represent one of Michael’s jackets and also inspired by one of the amazing Mayen Orido’s cakes and the Bad sign on the top tier and the silhouette was cut out from gumpaste, I did want to airbrush the Bad sign but I have no airbrush so this could’ve been a slight problem, lol.

This cake was ordered for a lady who had spent many years of her life as a fruit seller and her son wanted a cake to represent this. This was one of those cakes you take on not really giving it much thought and then when you start to do it you realise how much detail is needed in order for it to look good!! The fruit is all made from sugarpaste and took what seemed like forever to do! But I must admit I was quite pleased with how it came out….. as always it was worth the effort :0)

I am asked to do quite a lot of number cakes and to be honest I find it quite hard sometimes to come up with a design because of the shape etc but I always get there in the end!

I made this cake for a beautiful little girl who was turning 2 and loves shoes. The lace on the frills is sugarveil.

I made this cake for a young lady who loves Zombies, blood and gore and also has amazing pink hair! The sponge and b/c inside are also pink to go with the hair.

A pretty little 8inch cake in pale pink with my first attempt at brush embroidery (I will get there in the end, I promise!) which was painted with pearl lustre and pretty pink and aqua roses.

I made this dummy cake for a wedding show. All in gold, pink and aqua with gumpaste roses and swarovski crystals.

This cake is actually a 2 tier cake, its rather tall!
