Hello. My name is Julia (you probably guessed that already ;-) ) and I am a hobby caker. I make cakes mainly for friends, colleagues and family and I love it when they challenge me with an unusual request. I have some lovely cake friends on Flickr and am hoping to meet some new ones here too! Thank you for visiting :-)

I have friends in Westcliff! I used to live in Billericay and my dad lived in Leigh-on-Sea when he was young. I’m saying all this in an Essex accent ;) It’s a weird Yorkshire/Southern mix these days haha x

We’re all here Julia, what took you so long :D.

Loved reading your profile, I started making cakes as a teenager in the 80s. I did find a recipe for fondant so I used to make my own fondant and use it on my teenage cake efforts. I had to buy liquid glucose from the chemists :D :D. Must try to drag the embarrassing photos out of the loft one day :)
